Geron Davis & Kindred Souls
Geron Davis and Kindred Souls have been leading and training choirs for three decades. Geron, and his wife, Becky, are both pastors’ kids, and have a passion for worship woven into their very DNA. Their many years of creating music together has yielded a long list of worship songs including Holy Ground, In the Presence of Jehovah, Mercy Saw Me, Evermore, Holy of Holies, Send It On Down, Peace Speaker, I’m Gonna Make It, and many, many more. Their songs have been recorded by an amazing roster of world-renowned artists.
The artists who have recorded and/or performed the songs of this creative couple include Barbra Streisand, Gaither Vocal Band, Michael W. Smith, Phillips, Craig, & Dean, Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, CeCe Winans, Cana’s Voice, Christ Church Choir, the Crabb Family, the Talleys, Israel Houghton, TaRanda Greene, & T. D. Jakes - to name a few.
Shelton and Alyson Lovern, Geron’s sister and brother-in-law, complete the group, Kindred Souls. These Dove Award winning artists have traveled the globe, and touch millions of lives every year with their songs of praise. Their years of leading worship, & serving as Worship Pastors, is always evident in their explosive sound of joyful praise! For them . . . it’s all about the worship!
Pastor Boyd Byerly
Pastor Byerly, still known as “Coach Byerly” to many in the community, has been the Senior Pastor at Sunset Avenue Church of God in Asheboro, NC for over 20 years. He formerly taught math and coached football at Asheboro High School, and still leads like a coach! His commitment to disciple the fellowship of Sunset Avenue Church of God and impacting the surrounding community is evident in all he does. Pastor Byerly is a mentor to young ministers with a desire to disciple his community both locally and globally. He carries the Great Commission out by equipping those he leads.
